Building a Parent Toolbox! Here is a list of free resources offered by the Province of BC to support parents and families. These are practical tools for mental health, wellness, and online safety to help you build a toolbox of strategies that strengthen and protect your family.

  • HealthyMindsBC provides evidence-informed prevention and early intervention tools and resources. This site is for B.C. parents, caregivers, families, educators and other professionals to help them support the “everyday” mental health of children and youth.

    E.R.A.S.E. (EXPECT RESPECT AND A SAFE EDUCATION) helps students, adults, and school staff build safe, caring and inclusive school communities.

  • ROLLING WITH A.D.H.D https://healthymindslearning.ca/rollingwith-adhd-for-parents

    Rolling with ADHD is an 8 module series that covers practical tools and strategies for caregivers of children with ADHD. This series has been adapted from the long-standing in-person program at BC Children’s Hospital, and includes what research shows really works for kids and families living with ADHD.

    FamilySmart supports parents and caregivers with their child’s mental health and/or substance use challenges.

 

SIDES Counselling Resource Website

Visit Counselling Connections for access to SIDES Counsellors and many resources including Emergency Help Lines, Mental Health and Wellness, Graduation, Post-secondary, Indigenous resources and more.

PAC

SIDES PAC meets monthly for virtual meetings. The PAC meets to talk about SIDES programs and activities and works to support SIDES students in a variety of ways. New parents are always welcome and no fundraising is required!
